We LOVE this product, it's the premium upgrade for your Model 3/Y center screen, allowing 30° rotation left or right, with a natural 'notch' in the center for easy alignment.
Taking about 20-30 minutes to install, you'll be left wondering why it was not designed this way from the factory. Beautifully engineered and shipping with all the tools you need, it's fully compatible with all Left Hand Drive Model Y & 3's with the Second Generation center console. If installed with a 1st generation center console, the door over the phone section will not open fully, as it will make contact with the new mounting bracket. Here's a quick video showing it with a 1st-gen console, and below a picture so you know if you have a first or second gen console:
Some Model 3's have a different air sensor, but both options are covered with this kit. Made from lightweight 6061-T6 Aerospace Aluminum, with factory-matched trim panels, once installed this will look 100% like it came that way from the factory.
This is one of our favorite accessories! Please watch Erik's great video below, and note the following tips:
No. Because the screen is slightly offset to allow for the 30 degrees of movement, it will be too close to the steering wheel in a RHD car. But, we are working on a RHD version, so stay tuned!
Yes. The bracket, by design, is difficult, if not impossible, to rotate when it's not attached to both your car and the screen. This is to ensure the screen does not move when you don't want it to.
As with any after-market accessory, if the manufacturer can explicitly prove the issue was caused by the accessory, then they may not honor any warranty claims.
To allow for the required amount of rotation, the bracket moves the screen forward and slightly down. On the first generation center console, this means the door covering the phone storage/charging area will not fully open. For many customers this is not an issue.
